I don't like fighting.I do like
to turn on the TV,
but sometimes all I see
is fighting.
When we were kids
we wrestled with
each other a lot,
but we never
got hurt.
On TV, fighting
people are killed
faster than you can surf
through channels.
And when
the news comes on,
it doesn't get any
better.
I wish I could give
a friendlier report on
my dog,
who expired a rabbit
yesterday,
after a hard summer
of pointing
and sniffing.
Maybe some day
peace will rain down
and encourage us
to turn the other cheek.
